Wittman Estes Architecture + Landscape has designed Hood Cliff Retreat for a family of nature lovers, bird watchers, and scientists. Hidden in the forest on the western shore of Hood Canal, Washington, USA, the retreat consists of three elements totaling 870ft² (81m²). The first one is the repurposed 20’x20’ (6mx6m) footprint of the original cabin built on the site in 1962. The second element is the cabin addition, and the third one is a new bunkhouse and bathroom to the north.
