Family as a Community by Jacobs-Yaniv Architects

Jacobs-Yaniv Architects has designed an L-shaped house called Family as a Community. Located in Even Yehuda, Israel, the house has a total floor area of 350m² (3,767ft²).

The central architectural concept was unrestricted flow between the inside and the outside of the house. The plan offers the possibility for each family member to pass freely from bedrooms to garden on a communal path.

Most of the house is on ground floor with only a guest bedroom in the basement.

The house is very spacious and comfortable, but its facades are modest and subtle.

So is the internal planning of the rooms – spacious and comfortable but with a small planted court yard in between and materials of modest character, an intimate and inviting space is achieved. The house wraps the garden and protects its inhabitants with privacy.
