Bivouac Luca Vuerich | A-Frame Shelter by Giovanni Pesamosca Architetto


Bivouac Luca Vuerich is a mountain shelter for mountaineers and hikers, located at an altitude of 2,531 meters (8,303 feet) in the Julian Alps, Italy. Built to remember Luca Vuerich, who died in an avalanche in January 2010 at age 34, the shelter was commissioned by the Luka family. Designed by Giovanni Pesamosca Architetto, the ​​16-sqm (172-sqft) A-frame cabin with nine beds was built by Friulian company Diemme Legno in 2012.
