Knut Hjeltnes has designed Single Family House Hoffstad. Located in Sandefjord, Norway, this house with circular windows measures 350m² (3,767ft²).
The walls are of massiv wood construction, working as girders spanning the large opening of the ground floor. By making the windows circular the openings in the walls could be larger. The outside of the building is like armour, since the site is very exposed to harsh weather.
