Beechwood Farm is a dogtrot home of 2,500ft² (232m²). The dogtrot is a style of a house the main feature of which is a large breezeway through the centre of the house to cool inhabitants in the hot southern climate. It was common throughout the Southeastern United States during the 19th and early 20th centuries. Located in Alabama, USA, this dogtrot home was designed by Summerour Architects in collaboration with the owners of the dwelling, Debra and Todd.
