Rammed Earth Modern is a modest single-story hillside home, designed by Kendle Design Collaborative in 2013. Encompassing 4,700ft² (437m²), the house integrates into the surrounding desert of Paradise Valley, Arizona, United States.
Humble materials such as rammed earth walls, limestone floors, and Douglass Fir wood ceilings compliment the desert palette. These materials are woven through both the interior and exterior living spaces to unify these spaces.
With a “cozy” scale and visually calm composition, the home’s minimalist approach to materials and details draws one close to art and nature though its sophisticated, clean elegance.
